Payments are final
Every SeoData plan is a subscription for access to the service for a monthly or yearly period, with the features and monthly limits listed on the pricing page. We do not sell credits and we do not charge per lookup. What you pay for is access for the period, and that access is granted in full when the period begins, whether you use it a lot, a little or not at all.
Before paying, you can run the one-time domain snapshot on the home page and see a live crawl of the homepage, ranked issues and an AI action list. Plans, prices, limits and the fact that every plan renews automatically are shown on the pricing page, at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account.
When you subscribe, you expressly ask us to start providing the service right away. If you are a consumer in the European Union or another country with a statutory right of withdrawal, you acknowledge that by making this request you lose that right once we start providing the service, which happens immediately after payment.
What we do not refund
None of the following is a reason for a full or partial refund.
- You changed your mind or no longer need the service.
- You did not use the service, or used it less than you expected, during a paid period.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled shortly after a renewal.
- You thought a subscription was a single payment. Every plan recurs until cancelled, and this is stated at every step.
- A renewal was collected after one or more failed payment attempts.
- You reached a monthly limit, or limits you did not use expired at the end of a cycle.
- Estimated metrics such as traffic, visibility, volume, difficulty or authority differ from figures in your own analytics. They are estimates by design, as explained on our data page.
- You disagree with an AI action plan or a recommendation it contains.
- A feature does not exist or works differently from what you assumed, where the pricing page does not describe it the way you expected.
- You bought the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats.
- You moved to a lower plan during a paid period.
- The remaining part of a period after cancellation. Access continues until the period ends and is never pro-rated.
- Someone else used your account, including a person you shared your login with.
- Your account was suspended or closed for breaching our terms of service.
The only cases in which we refund
We refund a charge only in one of the cases below, only to the extent of the affected charge, and only when our records and those of our payment provider support the claim.
- Duplicate charge. A fault in our billing charged you twice for the same period. We refund the extra charge.
- Proven unauthorized charge. Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the records confirm it. A statement alone is not enough. We check the claim together with our payment provider and may ask you to confirm that you reported the card misuse to your card issuer.
- Total failure of the service. A confirmed fault on our side made the service completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it to us while it was happening, and we did not fix it. Slow responses, a single feature not working, partial outages, and problems with your own device, browser or network do not count as total failure.
An approved refund goes back to the original payment method only. It is limited to the amount you actually paid for the affected period and is our entire liability for that charge. Approving one refund does not create a right to another.
How to cancel
Open the billing section of your account settings and choose Cancel subscription. You do not need to write to us. Cancelling stops all future renewals straight away, and you keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancelling is not a refund request.
To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date shown in your account. Cancelling after a renewal has gone through stops the following renewal, but does not reverse the charge for the period that has already begun.
Renewals and failed payments
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. At the moment a new period starts, access for that whole period is granted and payment for it becomes due.
If your card issuer declines the renewal payment, our payment provider retries it over the following days. These retries are attempts to collect one unpaid invoice, not new or duplicate charges. Cancelling during this time stops future renewals, but the invoice for the period that has already started stays due. A renewal collected on a retry is not refundable, and your access continues until the end of that period.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account within 14 days of the charge. Include the date and amount of the charge, the last four digits of the card, the reason, which must match one of the cases above, and any evidence you have, such as screenshots, the date and time you reported an outage, or confirmation from your card issuer. Requests sent after 14 days or without enough detail to identify the charge are not considered.
We review requests in the order we receive them and reply by email with the decision. We do not reopen requests that were declined under this policy.
What we keep on record
When you create an account, you accept our terms of service, which include this refund policy and our privacy policy. For every subscription we keep the date and time of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the confirmation email, renewal notices, and a log of account activity such as sign-ins, lookups, reports and exports, together with the technical details recorded with each of them. Our payment provider keeps its own record of each transaction, including the result of bank authentication. Refund requests and unauthorized charge claims are assessed against these records.
Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at [email protected]. Most problems are solved faster this way. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our terms of service. When a chargeback is opened, we send the records described above to the card issuer, and the account is closed permanently.
