Competitor analysis tool that shows who you really compete with

Your search competitors are not always the companies you meet in sales. SeoData finds the domains that rank for the same keywords as you, puts them side by side with your site and shows where they win traffic and links.

Competitors found from shared keywords

Enter your domain and SeoData lists the domains that rank for the largest share of your keywords. Each competitor shows the number of shared keywords, the keywords only they rank for and an overlap score. You see direct rivals, publishers that take informational traffic and marketplaces that take buyers, each in its own place on the list.

Side by side comparison

Pick the domains you want to compare and see them in one table.

  1. Estimated organic traffic and its trend over time.
  2. Keywords in the top 3, top 10 and top 100.
  3. Referring domains and new and lost links in the last 30 days.
  4. Top pages by estimated traffic.
  5. Share of traffic across the group for the keywords you all rank for.

How the comparison is built

SeoData combines data from licensed data partners with our own crawler that respects robots.txt. For each domain it reads ranking keywords, estimates traffic from positions and click curves, and collects the link profile. The numbers for every domain come from the same method, so the comparison is fair.

  1. Enter your domain and choose the market.

  2. Review the suggested competitors and add or remove domains.

  3. Open the comparison table and the traffic share chart.

  4. Drill into any competitor to see its top pages, keywords and backlinks.

Traffic share

The traffic share chart shows how organic traffic for your shared keywords splits across the group. When your share drops while a competitor's grows, you know where to look first. Combine it with position tracking to follow the same keywords daily.

Link comparison

SeoData compares the referring domains of every domain in the group. You see the domains that link to two or more competitors but not to you, which is usually the shortest list of realistic link prospects. Go deeper with the dedicated page to find backlinks of competitors.

Who uses competitor analysis

  • In-house SEO leads who report on market position, not only on their own traffic.
  • Agencies preparing a pitch or an onboarding report for a new client.
  • Content teams who want to know which competitor pages bring the most traffic and why.
  • Founders and marketing managers checking where a new rival gets its visibility.

Reading competitor data

Treat traffic numbers as estimates that show direction and scale, not as exact analytics. The most useful signals are relative: who grows, who loses and which pages drive the change. Start with competitors that share many keywords and grow fastest. Then open their top pages and run a keyword gap analysis to turn their wins into your content plan.

Limits on every plan

Each domain you open counts as one domain lookup.

Competitor analysis questions

How does SeoData choose my competitors?

It ranks domains by how many of your keywords they also rank for and how close their positions are. You can add or remove any domain manually.

How accurate are the traffic estimates?

Traffic is estimated from ranking positions and click rates, the same way for every domain. Use it to compare domains and spot trends, and use your own analytics for exact figures on your site.

Can I save a competitor set?

Yes. Save the group inside a project and SeoData keeps the comparison up to date, with history kept according to your plan.
